There are many features added or modified in DowXP. To see them all, you have to try it. However, Riker2800 and I believe that these are the main features.
- The goal of DowXP is better play balance and closer codex representation in the game.
- DoW Skirmish AI mod is included and adapted to all new units, a big thanks to the AI team.
- DoW Closer to Codex Mod from Medes units are included as they are released.
- Examples : Codex Space Marine Land Raider Randomised Heads, Space Marine Veteran, Chaos Havocs , Chaos Khorne Berserker Aspiring champion, Imperial Guard Chimera Codex, Imperial Guard Hellhound Codex, and more.
- Original new units or changes
- Examples: Razorback, Imperial Guard Karskin Flamers, Imperial Guard Sentinel, Daemon Prince with Daemonic Flamer, Imperial Guard Karskin Drop, Imperial Guard Karskin Cloak, Imperial Guard beefed-up Baneblade.
- Multiple playbalance changes
- Unit caps to stop spamming.
- Uniformisation of weapons withing each races (plasma are similar for most space marines, etc).
- Turrets and mines are actually effective.
- Much more diversity on many units
